Rick Melvin

Lead Pastor

Rick Melvin is originally from Washington Court House and became a Christian after accepting the gospel invitation at Fayette Bible Church as a teenager. During his junior year of high school he felt the Lord’s call to full-time ministry. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Maranatha Baptist University and then pastored for 15 years in Illinois and Wisconsin. During this time he also earned a Master of Arts in Theology from Central Baptist Seminary and a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary. Rick has also served as a Chaplain in the United States Army, Wisconsin Army National Guard and the Army Reserves since 2012. God brought him and his family back to southern Ohio to serve as the Pastor of School Ministries and Administrator for Fayette Christian School. In October of 2024 Pastor Rick was called to be the Lead Pastor of Fayette Bible Church. He has been married to his wife Michelle since 2001 and they have two children, Kate and Ben. 

Tony Garren

Associate Pastor

A native of South Carolina, Pastor Tony Garren graduated from Bob Jones University in 1988 with a B.A. in Practical Christian Training. He came to Fayette Bible Church in 1988 as Youth Pastor. He continued in that capacity until accepting the call as Senior Pastor in 1999, an office at which he has faithfully served the church family at Fayette Bible until transitioning to a more focused role as Community and Outreach Pastor in 2022. In a desire to spend more time with family, Pastor Tony has partially retired and now serves in a part-time capacity as Associate Pastor. Pastor Garren has been married to his wife Lynn since 1987. They have two adult daughters, Emily and Elizabeth.
